Vision & Mission
VWB is an initiative forged in the fire of real struggle—shaped by the tears of the desert, the silence of overcrowded camps, the screams of drowned voices in the Mediterranean.
Our founder, a survivor and chronicler of these truths, carries the weight of many stories and the determination to change how the world sees refugees.
The Culture of Refugees event in Bamberg is one among our annual program, and it reminded us that our identities are not erased by displacement—they are redefined by the courage to remember. This is a space built from that courage.

Our Vision
A world where no human voice is silenced by systems of injustice. A world where refugees are not reduced to numbers, but uplifted as narrators of truth, culture, and transformation. We envision communities that heal together, remember together, and rise together.

Our Roots
Voice Without Borders is rooted in pain, survival, and truth. We are the voices, the souls that endured harsh asylum laws, the burning heat of the Sahara Desert, the drowning of lives in the Mediterranean Sea, and the dehumanisation at the gates of Europe. The foundation of this initiative is rooted in a promise made to those who did not survive. VWB exists to fulfil the will of the dead refugees. It is rooted in the Journey of Desperation in crossing the sea, in burying our brothers and sisters in unmarked graves in the Sahara, and in witnessing the rape and torture of our sisters, girlfriends, and wives. We carry the anger of those moments: feeding on dust, drinking urine, and swallowing water from wells filled with human bones and rotting flesh, but we drank it only to keep our bodies alive. Voice Without Borders is rooted in this truth, in this suffering, and in this promise to never forget, and never remain silent.
Our Mission
To create space for the refugee story to be told by those who lived it. To honor the past, confront the present, and shape the future through storytelling, cultural expression, and collective advocacy.
To amplify the stories and humanity of displaced persons through art, culture, and testimony.
To build bridges between migrant communities and host societies through dialogue, education, and creative engagement.
To challenge harmful narratives and policies by centering lived experience as evidence.
To cultivate solidarity and resilience through collaboration, memory work, and cultural preservation.
Our Philosophy
We believe storytelling is a form of resistance.
We believe every refugee carries more than pain—they carry wisdom, culture, and the right to be seen and heard.
We embrace the power of radical empathy: listening not to respond, but to remember, and to act.
We reject dehumanization in all its forms. We stand against borders that divide, and for voices that unite.
We do not wait to be invited.
We speak, create, and build—without permission and without apology.
Because every refugee carries more than pain; we carry legacy, wisdom, and power.
We are Voice Without Borders.
Quotes From Refugees
They tried to bury us beneath their laws, But we grew like roots beneath the stone. For every wall that blocks our path, We build ten bridges of our own.
