What Is our Museum?

Messum is our living archive, born from the Culture of Refugees movement. Here, we hold the most powerful, emotional, and haunting portraits of refugee lives, captured by those who lived them, these are not stock images.

They are real photos, taken by and of refugees, raw, honest, human. Each portrait is paired with personal testimonies, stories of exile, survival, and soul. This space is sacred.

It is not public, access is granted only through a support link, a donation that opens the door not just to images, but to understanding. Your contribution sustains the platform and honours the lives within it.

We write the untold story.

This is where our community gathers, refugees, allies, artists, scholars, truth-tellers. We post. We respond. We remember. Together.
