Voice Without Borders

Who We Are

Voice Without Borders (VWB) is non-governmental Refugees led organisation. VWB is an uprising of spirit, a gathering of souls who carry the weight of exile with grace and fire.

We are a human-centered platform, born from lived experiences of displacement, injustice, survival, and an unwavering will to speak. We are refugees, migrants, artists, thinkers, and activists—those who have crossed deserts and seas, and those who have stood beside them in solidarity. We are scaffolders of truth and builders of bridges between cultures, between wounds and healing, between silence and the story yet to be told.

Our foundation was laid in the dust of the Sahara, in the harrowing tales told in Journey of Desperation, and built up through every cultural expression at the Culture of Refugees event in Bamberg. From the raw voice of The Two Births of Me to the communal spirit of Farafina bridge, we are a living archive of struggle and resilience.

We were formed in the fire of many battles:

On stage and in classrooms,

where refugees stood not as victims but as educators and narrators of their own truths.

Through projects like Farafina Bridge

where children, parents, and communities of African descent reimagine belonging through art, education, and history.

In spoken word and music

where poetry and song become weapons against forgetfulness, and hope is strung into every verse.

In political roundtables

and storytelling festivals, where truth cut through bureaucracy and bureaucracy bowed to dignity.
